Senior SAP Financial Consultant

Reports To: SAP Program Manager / Finance Transformation Lead

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Financial Consultant with deep functional expertise in SAP ECC and S/4HANA, specializing in system conversion, upgrades, and end-to-end financial solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Bank Integration, SAP FSCM, Cash Management, and Group Reporting, and strong cross-functional integration knowledge with Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver SAP Financials (FI/CO) solutions in ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Drive system conversion and upgrade projects from ECC to S/4HANA, including data migration, simplification item checks, and readiness assessments.
• Configure and implement core finance processes: General Ledger (New GL), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
• Deliver SAP FSCM components including Credit Management, Dispute Management, Collections Management, and Treasury.
• Implement and optimize Cash Management, Bank Communication Management (BCM), and Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC).
• Lead the design and rollout of Group Reporting (Consolidation) in S/4HANA.
• Integrate finance processes with SD (billing, revenue recognition) and MM (GR/IR, procurement settlement) modules.
• Perform solution assessments, GAP analysis, and provide recommendations for financial transformation and compliance improvements.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and cutover planning.
• Collaborate with technical teams for interface design, enhancements, and data migration.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and client finance teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 6+ years of SAP Finance experience with at least 2 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP FI, CO, Bank Integration, FSCM, and Group Reporting.
• Proven track record in ECC to S/4HANA conversion or upgrade projects.
• In-depth understanding of Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, and Central Finance (preferred).
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology, fit-to-standard workshops, and value mapping.
• Familiar with SAP integration architecture and tools (e.g., IDocs, BAPIs, CPI, SLT).

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM).
• Exposure to Fiori apps for finance and analytical tools (Embedded Analytics).
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as IFRS, SOX, and internal audit processes.
• SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance.
